Slope & Ridge Vents
What Is A Ridge Vent?
A ridge vent is a ventilation system that’s installed along the peak of a sloped roof. It’s designed to enable warm, humid air to escape from a building’s roof space and keep the air temperature cool and regulated.
Powered by nature
Airocle slope and ridge vents are meticulously crafted to offer project designers of expansive industrial structures optimal exhaust flow, all while ensuring sustainable ventilation solutions.
Powerful, discreet, and an ideal ridge vent for metal roof systems, our range of maintenance-free ridge ventilators naturally extract stale air, airborne waste, and heat load from your building using no electricity or wiring.
We’re the leaders in natural ventilation design and manufacturing in Australia, with over 100 years of experience under our belts and a reputation for quality and technical expertise.

The benefits and features of ridge vents
Airocle’s ridge vents effectively & naturally evacuate excess heat. With virtually no maintenance and running costs, our natural ridge roof ventilators provide cost-effective, sustainable ventilation for all types of industrial projects, refurbishments, commercial, and public buildings.
Featuring a unique in-built drainage system for all-weather performance and a low-profile design, our ridge ventilators are engineered to minimise wind load whilst optimising airflow, offering a reliable, CSIRO-tested, and BCA-compliant solution to energy-efficient, net-zero-friendly building ventilation.
Experienced leaders in ridge vents
Our roof vents incorporate innovative aerodynamic design principles resulting in low profile and lightweight units to minimise wind load on your building structure.
Rigorously tested, we have helped thousands of companies breathe easier through our ridge and slope ventilation systems
Why choose Airocle slope or ridge vents?
Low-profile & light-weight
Modern, low-profile design that is adaptable for use on all roof sheeting profiles and designs. Slope or ridge-mounted, we can design them to suit your structure.
Highly reliable
Our vents are tried and tested, backed by over 90 years of research and development.
Bespoke solution
A flexible design tailored to your needs. Select from our range of colours and materials to find ones that suit your commercial or industrial setting best.
Energy efficient
Airocle’s innovative design principles and superior construction methods mean total energy usage and associated costs are reduced.
Weathertight
We offer the highest standard of weatherproofing options for maximum protection against the elements. These range from 2-stage louvres that provide complete weather resistance and zero-energy air ventilation to stormproof louvres designed for areas that face challenging natural conditions.
Dust filters, rain sensors, control panels and more can all be incorporated into your existing or new structures during the design process.
Easy Installation
Manufactured in accordance with AS2427-1983, all roof ventilators are supplied in complete knocked-down form; packed and ready for hoisting. This means that they can be easily set up and installed yourself. Alternatively, you can lean on Airocle’s experienced team for installation.

FAQs
Ridge ventilators and roof ventilators are both types of attic ventilation systems with some key differences.
While ridge ventilators are typically installed at the peak (or the “ridge”) of the roof and run across the length of the ridge, roof ventilators can be installed at various points along the roof.
Ridge vents allow airflow to escape through the highest point of the roof (referred to as a “passive ventilation system”), while roof ventilators will create localised points for the air to exit through.
Ridge and roof vents can also look quite different, with ridge vents generally blending in with the roof and roof ventilators looking more like attic fans and box vents.
Slope and ridge vents work by moving air around.
Ridge vents create negative pressure at th vent openings, so as the wind blows over the roof, it draws air out from the attic space while simultaneously pulling through fresh air through soffit vents, creating a continuous air flow.
Slope vents work through natural convection. That is, as hot air rises, it escapes through these vents.
If you’re having issues with the airflow in your building, or just want to ensure a regulated temperature and pleasant conditions, getting a ridge vent installed is a great idea. Not only does it improve airflow and ventilation, it also helps to keep moisture at bay, preventing mould formation.
Ridge vents can extend the lifespan of a roof and generally enable energy efficiency and subsequent cost-savings.
